And then, if I had an iPod touch, it and google maps would tell me where to go. However, I can think of worse things than wondering around St. Denis on the plateau. Trying to figure out where the hell you are would rarely be as pleasant. That said, "no, that's definitely not right" typically preceeds "oh wait, this totally makes sense." I always just write it down?
